Your ukulele, before it exists
An ukulele is born twice: first in the forest, then in the hands of the one who will play it. Here you can compose your instrument by choosing every wood, every detail, every finish — and watch the technical drawing change in real time. When the shape feels right, a single gesture starts the conversation with the luthier.
From configuration to finished instrument: how it works
The configuration you just built is not an order — it is the beginning of a conversation. After you send it, the luthier replies personally to go through your choices together, answer every question and refine the details. Only once everything is agreed, and before any financial commitment, is the final quote confirmed.
Once the build begins, you will receive photorealistic renders made from actual photographs of the woods selected for your instrument — so you can see your ukulele before it even exists.
The woods: where sound is born
Every combination the configurator offers has been selected over years of lutherie experience and tonal research. The soundboard — the acoustic heart of the instrument — can be crafted in Paneveggio Italian Red Spruce, the same wood that for centuries supplied the greatest Italian luthiers. Back, sides, neck and fingerboard complete the sonic character: woods like Hawaiian Koa, Ziricote or Cocobolo are not merely aesthetic choices — they are decisions that shape timbre, response and projection.
There is no wrong combination — only the right one for you.
What is included with every Verginelli instrument
Every ukulele is built entirely by hand in the Rome workshop, one instrument at a time. Delivery includes a professional hardshell case and twelve months of insurance — because an instrument of this quality deserves protection from the very first day.
Your ukulele is also a unique object: no other instrument in the world will be identical to yours
